 Q: What is the life shelf, and did they come already expired?
 A: Like salt from a grocery store there is an expiration date, however salt doesn't go bad. It is the same with Potassium Iodide. Yes there is an expiration date on the package, and the packages I received are good for three more years according to the date. It is an FDA thing, but the Potassium Iodide will be as good thirty years from now as it is today.
